Established in 1988, Asiana Airlines has fully committed itself to providing unmatched, innovative and world-class services to their customers. The Airline’s employees are committed to their work and the ones they serve, which is one of the reasons why Asiana Airlines was named the “Airline of the Year” in 2010 by Skytrax—one of the most prestigious airline awards. Asiana was awarded other similar awards from Global Traveler, Premier Traveler and Business Traveler in 2011, 2012 and 2013 respectively.
Asiana Airlines Business Smartium (business class) passengers can enjoy direct aisle access and lie-flat seats, which are just as comfortable as a first class. Business Smartium features LED mood lighting, an 18.5-inch entertainment screen with dozens of movies, shows, games and music to choose from, hidden storage on the side and a large space underneath the footrest for a briefcase or backpack. There’s also a personal reading light, a tray table that folds out from the front, large side table, headphone jack and USB and AC outlets, a cup holder separated from the table, controls to adjust the seat to the most comfortable position, plus three easy pre-set controls. Asiana business class passengers also receive an amenity kit with L’Occitane products, and can dine from mouth-watering Western and traditional Korean dishes paired with fine wines, eco-friendly coffee, espresso and other various beverages. Asiana Airlines Business Smartium is available on the following international routes: Seoul, Frankfurt, Istanbul, London, Paris, Rome, Istanbul, Sydney, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taipei, Manila, Ho Chi Minh City and many others.
Asiana Airlines recently rebranded first class to the “Business Suite”, a premium business class product featuring a completely enclosed seat with sliding doors—the first suite of its kind to be offered by a Korean airline. Each seat converts into a fully-flat bed measuring 25.2 inches wide and 84 inches long and equipped with a 32-inch entertainment screen, a large armrest that’s also a closed compartment for loose items, USB and AC ports, a separate touchscreen to maneuver the seat, two different cabin lights (one for reading above the seat and one near the end of the suite that’s less bright), and an ottoman on the opposite end. The cabin offers passengers mood lighting as well as a starry night ceiling for an optimal sleeping experience. The Asiana Airlines Business Suite is available on flights to Seoul and to Frankfurt only.
The Asiana Airlines First Class Lounge, located on the fourth floor in Terminal 4 near Gate 42 at Seoul Incheon Airport (ICN), is accessible to Business Suite passengers flying on Asiana Airlines or first class passengers on a Star Alliance partner airline. Standard business class ticket holders as well as those with a Star Alliance Gold card, Asiana Club Diamond Plus or Priority Pass members can access the Asiana Airlines Business Class Lounge located in the departure area in Terminal 1. The elegant and spacious lounges offer a variety of sections to spread out and relax, finish a last-minute project, enjoy a refreshment or grab a warm meal or quick snack from the self-serve buffet.
